Examining Comparative Effect of Reading Methods On Reading Comprehension

چکیده

The present experiment investigated whether different reading methods would have any effect on comprehension performance. It was hypothesized that comprehensive performance be better with subvocalization than other methods. independent variable and the dependent (speed accuracy). To conduct this experiment, 60 school students were taken age ranges from 8 to 10 years. Latin Square design used experiment. Recall scores obtained for each participant in terms of four methods: silent reading, subvocalization, aloud listening music while reading. Results One-way ANOVA Post Hoc test showed only time vary among Multiple comparisons there is a significant difference between aloud. So, result did not support hypothesis as method. Dhaka Univ. J.
